RANDOLPH GALE ROESSLER
GOLIAD - Randolph "Randy" Gale Roessler, 67 of Goliad passed away June 13, 2013. He was born on August 24, 1945 in Portland, Texas to the late Alfred E. and Bergedia M. Hahn Roessler. He was the sixth of eight children and a catholic. He graduated Refugio High School and joined the U S Army and stationed in Germany, Korea. and Japan.
He owned an automotive repair business in Victoria since 1981. He was a mechanic's mechanic. His heart of gold and giving spirit touched so many customers through all the years. Many customers became such great friends that meant so much to him. Randy was a simple man with simple and honest values. He dearly loved his family and was so proud of his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included fishing, camping, motorcycles, knife making, woodworking and studying history. He was so creative and was never afraid to try anything, because of being so determined to accomplish and prefect anything he started. He even built our home by himself from the ground up. He was a hard working man and full of eagerness to always do his best. Randy's talents were endless. He was an animal lover and treated all of this animals like family.
He is survived by wife, Robin B. Roessler of Goliad; sons Mark Roessler , James (Amanda) Roessler of Victoria ; step daughter, Mandi Peoples (Conrad) Rodriguez of Austin, stepsons, Thomas (Jake) Peoples and Charles Riordan of Austin, grandchildren Lane and Jacy Roessler of Victoria and Kelsie McCord of Austin. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Lois Braden, brothers William (Sharon) Roessler of Victoria, Robert Roessler of Livingston, Charles (Judy) Roessler of Refugio, sister Carolyn (Wayne) Al Hartman of Goliad and dear friends, Martin Moss, Jerry (Doc) Hinds and Gary Johnson and numerous other family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brothers Kenneth, and Alfred (Buddy) Roessler and sister Bernice Ahlers.
Memorial service will be held at Grace Funeral Home in Goliad on Tuesday, June 18 at 11:00 am with Father Ralph Baidoo officiating. Military honors will be provided and a reception will follow at the Immaculate Conception parish hall following the service.
In lieu of floral donations friends may contribute to American Cancer Society, Make a Wish foundation, or Hope of South Texas.
