MARYNELLE BLAKE BRUCE
VICTORIA - Marynelle Blake Bruce, 76, of Victoria passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013. She was born March 8, 1936 in Port Lavaca, TX to Cecil and Ruth Blake. She graduated from Southwest Texas Teacher's College and was a 1st grade teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Bruce is survived by her daughters, Jenna Bruce of Victoria, Pam Bruce Furnary and husband, Michael of Brentwood, California; she was a beloved "Grandi" to her three granddaughters, Erin and Paige Furnary of Brentwood, California and Jillian Bruce of Victoria; additional survivors include her brothers, Bill Blake, Boyd Blake and wife, Janice and nephews, all of Port Lavaca.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leroy Bruce in 2012.
In keeping with Mrs. Bruce's wishes, no public service will be held.
Memorial donations may be made to the Victoria Public Library or First United Methodist Church Music Fund.
