OFILIA GONZALES GALVAN
PORT LAVACA - Ofilia Gonzales Galvan, 92, of Port Lavaca, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Houston. She was born September 27, 1920 in Austwell to the late Pedro and Solia Benavides Gonzales. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana G. Maseda (Albert) and Dora G. Galvan, both of Port Lavaca; sons, Tony Galvan (Odilia) of Port Lavaca, Raymond Galvan (Maria) of San Antonio, and Roger Galvan (Marie Irene) of Port Lavaca; sister, Delia Herrera (Joe) of McKinney; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Garcia Galvan; daughter, Virginia Galvan; son, Fernando Galvan; sisters, Manuela Guerra, Juanita Garza, and Flora Guerra; brothers, Alejandro Gonzales, Praxedis Gonzales, and Pedro Gonzales Jr.; grandson, Anthony Galvan; and granddaughter, Alexandria Renee Maseda.
Visitation will be from 5 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Central Baptist Church, 1900 W. Main St., Port Lavaca. Visitation will resume from 9 - 10 a.m. with a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Central Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Rodger Galvan III, Jeffrey James Galvan, Carlos Galvan, Alberto Meseda Jr., Jousha Sanchez, Raymond Galvan, and Del Ray Sanchez.
