Born on Feb. 18, 1942
VICTORIA - Adolph Kraatz, 71 of Victoria passed away March 22, 2013. Adolph was born in Victoria on February 18, 1942 to the late Adolph William and Nora Elizabeth Nava Kraatz. He was owner and president of Modern Floors for over 30 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, Knights of Columbus # 1329, Usher at Our Lady of Victory, Acts Retreat Member, President of Nazareth Academy Booster Club, President of the Fathers Club at St. Joe and coached little league baseball for his sons and many other boys and girls for many years and worked with many charitable organizations.
Adolph is survived by his wife, Carmen Wolpman Kraatz of Victoria; sons, Brad Kraatz and wife, Kristin of Victoria; Trey Kraatz and wife, Jennifer of Hallettsville; sister, Shirley Ann Kraatz of Victoria; brother Billy Kraatz and wife, Denise of Victoria; grandchildren Erika, Elissa, Tyler, Austin, Trenton, Victoria and Alexandra.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kraatz is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Monnie Wolpman; mother-in-law, Emerence Wolpman; brother-in-law, Tommy Riedel and nephew, Tony DeLorenzo.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2 PM at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral with Msgr. Michael Harrold officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of the Victoria Veterans Council.
Pallbearers will be Bo Kitchens, Raul Gardano, Kenny Garcia, Randy Morris, Mike Perritano, Randy Tate, and Geronimo Vela.
Honorary pallbearers include Gordon Beatty, Dr. Fred Lykes, Bill Noble, Lee Weber, Joe Trapp, Joe Donelson, Senator Ken Armbrister, Bobby Taylor, Dr. David Janssen, Dr. Mark Stevens, Artie Fox, Tommy Thompson, Mickey Maxey, Glenn Spann, Col. Richard Paul, Adrian Valdez, Kevin Arnold, Robert Steed, Kevin Krueger, Coach Mike Shimek, Coach Richard Seiler and Coach Steve Tibeletti, and his ACTS community, all his other family and friends and his lifetime friend of 62 years, Victor Konarik, who is now with him in Heaven.
