Born on July 19, 1927
VICTORIA - Guadalupe "Lupita" Gallardo, 85, of Victoria, went to be with our Lord and Savior on the morning of Wednesday, May 1, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 19, 1927 in Myersville to the late Leopoldo and Felicita Canul Moya. She was a Catholic, a homemaker, and a retired employee of John J. Welder. She was also a member of St. John's Post 1269, the Ladies Auxiliary CWV, the Catholic Daughters, the Shut In Ministry of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gallardo of Victoria; daughters, Patricia Espindola of Victoria, Theresa Gonzales (Andrew) of San Antonio, and Evangeline Diaz (Rodrigo) of Victoria; step-daughters, Libby Hinytzke (Tom) of Houston, Susie Trevino (Roger) of Uvalde, and Sally Hall (David) of Victoria; sons, Benito Moya (Ramona) of Houston and Adelaido Luna Jr. (Virginia) of Colorado Springs; step-sons, Robert Luna (Olga) of Victoria, Bobby Gallardo (Grace) of Victoria, Frank Gallardo of Victoria, and Joe Gallardo (Connie) of Rockport; sisters, Snow Williams of Oklahoma, Josephine Lerma of Victoria, and Estella Ybarbo (Leon) of Corpus Christi; 24 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Adelaido Luna; brothers, Ernesto Moya and Luis Canul; and great-granddaughter, Marisela Montes.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Artero Memorial Chapels. Visitation will resume from 9 - 10 a.m. with funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Artero Memorial Chapels. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Nephew Frank Gallardo Deacon, of San Antonio, will officiate.
Pallbearers: Frank Gallardo, Bobby Gallardo, Daniel Luna, Patrick Luna, Michael Espindola, Guadalupe Espindola, James Kerley, and Rodrigo Diaz. Honorary pallbearers: Jose Martin Mejia, Joe Gallardo, and Leon Ybarbo.
