Born on April 8, 1926
VICTORIA - Frank Reaves, 87, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013. He was born in Goliad on April 8, 1926 to the late Henry Frank and Lucy Danforth Reaves.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Barrow. After his discharge, he went to work for AT&T and retired in 1986 after 38 years of service. He became a gentleman farmer, enjoying gardening, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Sandra Novosad (Ron) of Richmond; son, Keith Reaves (Brenda) of Victoria; grandchildren, Tisha Reaves, Scott Novosad (Sasha), Leia Novosad Paxton (Brad); great-grandchildren, Ty Hanselka and Zayne Novosad.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Reaves; sister, Lorraine, and brothers, Ralph Reaves and Melvin Reaves.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Grace Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Green officiating. Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Oakgrove Cemetery in Yoakum.
Pallbearers will be Ron Novosad, Scott Novosad, Norman Kaiser, Wayne Kaiser, Brad Paxton and Bobby Smith.
