Born on March 19, 1989

PORT LAVACA - Romulo D. Mesa III, 24 of Port Lavaca, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013. He was born March 19, 1989 in Port Lavaca to Romulo Mesa, Jr. and Darlene Scrivner. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
He was a certified Red Cross life guard and an expert Marksman in the USMC where earned the rank of Sergeant. He loved children, never met a stranger, he enjoyed bungee jumping and motorcycles. Trey believed in a positive attitude and always wanted to help bring other people up when they were down.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his fiancé, Olivia "Liv" Amaya of Victoria; sisters, Beverli Mesa of San Antonio, Kayla Mesa of Port Lavaca; brothers, Mason Mesa, Roland Samora, Ryan Samora and Richard Samora; grandparents, Romulo Mesa, Sr. and Pauline Resendez, Ken and Nancy Dorries; great-grandfather, Charlie Husak, Sr.; great- grandmother, Susie Mesa; numerous cousins and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Delmer and Ione Dorries, Bernice Blumrick, Lupe Resendez, Angelita Resendez and Tomas Mesa.
Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Grace Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Church of Christ with Shan Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of the United States Marine Corps.
Pallbearers are Jason Carter, Rey Mesa, Mason Mesa, Raul Saenz, Chance Rosenbrock and Keith Mesa. Honorary Pallbearer are Josh Sparks, d Daniel Mesa and Kevin Iraggi.
