M. Devin Watson

Born on Jan. 18, 1976

FORT WORTH - M. Devin Watson 46, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013. He was born January 18, 1967, in Port Lavaca to Dixie Watson and the late Ollie Dean Watson. He proudly served his country in the Unitred States Air Force from 1986 to 1995, including Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He worked at Lockheed Martin for the past 11 years. He was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, country dancing and was a avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
Devin loved his family and was one who never met a stranger.
In addition to his mother, Devin is survived by his wife, Jana Valentine-Watson; children, Victoria Watson, Joshua Watson, Aaron Watson, Jonathan Valentine, Steven Valentine, Daniel Valentine, and Allie Valentine; granddaughter, Adrian Watson; sisters, Johnnie Marie Brewer, Jody Weber and husband, Joseph, Julia King and husband Carl Lee; brothers, Marty Watson and wife Carol, Monroe Watson, and wife Jackie; also, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, J.M. Watson, and a nephew, Jaidon Watson.
The family will receive friends at Grace Funeral Chapel on Wednesday evening, November 6, 2013 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. A rosary will follow at 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, with Father Tommy Chen officiating. Burial with full military honors under the auspices of the Calhoun County Combined Honor Guard will follow at Port Lavaca Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Josh Watson, Aaron Watson, Jon Valentine, Steven Valentine, Daniel Valentine, A.J. Driver, Donoven Stanley, Marty (Bubba) Watson Jr., Mark Devin Watson, Daren Watson, Jonathan Weber, Joey Weber and Ray Brewer. Honorary Pallbearers are Victoria and Adrian Watson, Marty and Carol Watson, Monroe and Jackie Watson, Ray Williams, Bryan Charbula, Jody and Joseph Weber, Julie and Carl Lee King, Johnnie Marie Brewer, Michelle Barrett, Joey Barrett Jr., Melissa Watson, Sarah Synnott, Kari Lyn Schmidt, Jenifer Weber, Justine Stanley, Kimberly Watson, and Miguel Lopez.
