GUS "G.D." NOLLKAMPER
SHINER - Gus "G.D." Nollkamper, age 92, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013.
He was born on May 13, 1921 in Yoakum to Alfred Otto and Norma Wehman Nollkamper.
He was a dairyman and a farmer. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of United Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church, American Legion, Young Farmers, Farm Bureau, Director of G.V.E.C. board over 30 years, Lavaca County appraisal board and chairman board of directors for Hochheim Prairie for 12 years.
Survivors: wife, Florence Sumrall Nollkamper; daughter, Norma Jane Nollkamper Hunter of Hotto; sons, Milton Edward Nollkamper and wife Pamela of Corona, California, Kenneth Nollkamper and Ronald Nollkamper both of Shiner; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Marlyn Williamson of Victoria and a brother, Dennis Nollkamper and wife Lorene of Shiner.
Preceded in death by: parents; and a brother, Leslie Nollkamper.
Visitation from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013, at the funeral home.
Funeral service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at United Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church with Pastor Elaine Gomulka officiating. Burial Shiner Cemetery.
