Roberta Jean Steyer Sharp

Born on March 2, 1934

VICTORIA - Roberta Jean Steyer Sharp, 79, passed away on September 12, 2013. She was born on March 2, 1934 in Fairbow, Minnesota to the late Joseph and Phoebe Warburton Steyer.
Roberta was married to the love of her life, Charles Bernard Sharp for 58 years before his death in 2010.
Roberta began painting in 1960. Roberta's works have been shown in over 30 one woman art shows, and she has won dozens of art competitions. Her Credentials were listed in the 1984-1985 edition of Notable Women of Texas.
Although many will remember Roberta for her art, her family will remember her as a compassionate, loving, giving mother, grandmother and wife. She could tackle any project with creativity and gusto. She was always so fun to work with. She loved playing games with family and friends. She loved anything from Candyland to Bridge.
Survivors include daughter, Becky Jones and husband, Jeff; son, Chuck Sharp and wife, Debbie and Michael Sharp; sisters, Janet Wallace and Sharon Forbes; brothers, James Steyer and Terry Steyer; grandchildren, Naomi Sharp and husband Eric McGee, Case Sharp and wife Sarah, Cassie Sharp, Denver Gonzalez and husband John, Jaclyn Jones, and Jennifer Jones; great-grandchildren, Aspen McGee, River McGee, Canyon McGee, Finley Gonzalez, Jack Sharp and Ella Sharp; other survivors include step-grandchildren David Whitlow and wife Rebekah, Jennifer Whitlow, step-great grandchildren, Tyler Whitlow, Sayler Whitlow, Kelyn Windham, Dallas Richter, Hunter Mudd, Bradin Snook, and Megan Snook.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2013 at Grace Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Schneider officiating.
