Oscar John 'O.J.' Kneupper

POINT COMFORT - Oscar John "O.J." Kneupper passed away Sept. 15, 2013. O. J. was born to Minnie Gourley and Oscar Kneupper in Blanco, TX Feb. 22, 1933.
He graduated from Boerne High School and joined the Navy in 1952. After the Navy, he returned to Boerne. He attended San Antonio College, then worked for the Kendall County Soil Conservation District where he made many friends in the farm and ranch community. He later went to work in the aircraft design and production industry. He spent several years in Amarillo working in a nuclear weapons assembly plant. In 1972, he moved to Point Comfort where he worked for Central Power and Light Company from which he retired after 25 years.
O.J. was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Frances Walker, Agnes Neill, Isabel Mattfeld, Elvera Tilden, Alene Schertz, and Dolly Rose; and brother, Carroll. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Diane Kneupper; 6 nephews; and 4 nieces.
Visitation will be Thurs., Sept. 19, 2013, at the Kneupper Cemetery near Kendalia at 10:30 AM with graveside services to follow at 11:00 AM.
