Born on May 28, 1949
VICTORIA - Foy Alexander, 89, of Victoria TX went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2014. He was born on December 31st, 1924 in Briscoe County, TX to the late Marion Russell and Mary Grace Wallace Alexander.
Foy was a faithful servant and one of the founding members of Mid Town Church of Christ. Foy served as a deacon there and never retired from serving the Lord.
Foy spend his early childhood in Silverton, TX and then moved east graduating from Port Neches High School. He was an Army Veteran, serving his country in Europe during WWII. Foy married Margaret Boone in Austin on May 28, 1949. He then graduated in 1949 with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Foy was a division engineer and worked with Dupont for 33 years.
Foy is survived by the love of his life, Margaret "Tittle" Alexander of Victoria, TX; his sister Tronnie Braughton of Talent, OR; his son Mark and wife Maggie Alexander of McAllen, TX; his son Dale and wife Shelly Alexander of Corpus Christi, TX; his grandchildren Curtis and wife Amanda Alexander, Pam Alexander, Brianne and husband Stephen Grove, Kevin and wife Katie Alexander, and Bryan Alexander; his great-grandchildren Alene Alexander and Lincoln Grove.
Foy was preceded in death by parents Marion Russell and Mary Grace Wallace Alexander; and siblings Susie, Norma, Jean, and Rusty.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Clay Bond officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Alexander, Kevin Alexander, Bryan Alexander, Stephen Grove, Steve Randle, Roy Arnot and Tom Pitchford.
