SHINER - Stazie Wagner, age 89, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014.
She was born October 25, 1924 in Shiner to Rudolph and Julia Fikac Janak.
She was a member of American Legion Auxillary, VFW, Catholic Daughters, KJT, KJZT and St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.
Survivors: daughter, Rose Ann Wagner Laqua (Kevin) of Katy; sons, James E. Wagner (Yvonne) of Port Lavaca, David Wagner (Wilma) of Shiner, Ernest Wagner of Oklahoma City and Marvin Wagner (Molly) of Bettendorf, Iowa; 9 grandchildren, Blake Laqua (Ashley), Keith Laqua (Riana), Kimberly Laqua, Aaron Wagner (April), Ryan Wagner (A.J.), Edward D. Wagner (Eve), Elizabeth A. Wagner, Brandon Wagner and Tim Wagner (Emilee); & 7 great-grandchildren, Alan, Avery and Ashton Wagner, Hunter and Carter Wagner, Lillie and Sophie Wagner; brothers, Charlie Janak (Evelyn) of Rockdale and Victor Janak (Doris) of Hallettsville; sisters-in-law, Elvera Janak of Hallettsville and Rose Marie Janak of El Campo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Edward Wagner; sister, Frances Janak Anderle (Robert); brothers, Anton Janak (Marie), Alex Janak, Leon Janak, Celestine Janak and Josephat Janak.
Rosary 6 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with her nephew, Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Burial at Shiner Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers, Aaron, Alan, Ryan, Hunter, Edward, Brandon and Tim Wagner, Blake and Keith Laqua.
Honorary pallbearers, Elizabeth Wagner, Kimberly Laqua and all the great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church or Central Association of the Miraculous Medal or donor's choice.
