GOLDA R. HILL
VICTORIA - Golda R. Hill, 92, of Victoria, passed away on April 25, 2014. She was born on March 15, 1922 in Duncan, Arizona to the late Orson J. Richins and Edna Richardson Richins. Golda and her first husband Jerome J Peters were farmers, owners of a feed, seed and fertilizer business which is still operational and community leaders in Jackson County. Golda also found time to substitute teach in Ganado and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her daughter, Faye Peters McDougald of Kingsland; son, Ronald J Peters of Ganado; sisters, Lenore Uptain, of Phoenix, AZ and Maxine Jones, of Meza, AZ, Brother C Dean Richins of Animas, NM; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Jerome J Peters and Raymond Hill; sisters, Faye Richins, Lavona Knight, Beverly Porter; brothers, O J Richins, Clyde L Richins, Darrow E Richins, and DeVaun D Richins.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10 am, Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Duane Bushman officiating. Burial will follow at 2 pm at the Ganado Cemetery.
