RE: VISD orders recount in tied race

Wow. This soap opera gets better everyday. Victorians, politics are alive and well in our fair city. Assuming the facts listed in this article played out as written, for a second week in a row it will not be a good “Weekend at Bernie’s.” I have the utmost respect for Mr. James Murphy. It is clear why he is the senior leader on this team. He was not about to give in to the apparent strong arm tactics of Klimist and company that seemed to be in play here. Thank you Mr. Murphy for doing the right thing. Laura Smith stated her reasons for abstaining from any voting, point taken. However, why did Estella De Los Santos abstain from the president’s vote but vote on the other two positions? Did she explain her position but it just wasn’t printed? Just wondering?

I haven’t agreed with everything this board has done, but I do have to say that we are moving in the right direction with the current leadership. With $159 million worth of projects on the horizon, it is no time to start making power plays and fracturing the team.

Didn't Charlie Jaynes say he wants to stop all the "bickering" on the school board? Ha ha ha. He should talk to his friend Bernie, seems like he's the only one bickering on the school board.
