Racism against Obama holds America back
advertising
Editor, the Advocate:

The question keeps getting asked would you vote for Barack Obama? I would vote for him because I’m ready for a change. I do not care if he is white, black, brown and all colors in between.

I am tired of hearing that this nation is not ready for a black president. We are still a divided nation. One nation under God is not a true statement when we, as a nation, cannot get over what color someone else’s skin is. Only then can the nation can move forward.

Blacks once had to ride in the back of the bus. Blacks go to war for this nation. Women also do the same. Blacks and women are good enough to give their life for this nation, but not good enough to lead it? I believe if we can see past these issues, it does not matter who drives the bus or where you sit. As long as we all know we are all headed in the same direction for the greater good of this nation.

Do not let bigotry or racism destroy this chance for change.
