Firefighters battle a grassfire just north of the access road off U.S. Highway 59 near the airport on Friday afternoon. Several units of the Victoria Fire Department, Nursery and Inez volunteer fire departments continued to chase after hot spots and the leading edge of the fire, which continued to burn late Friday afternoon.
