Allens actions were all part of the showmanship category of the Victoria and Surrounding Area pod of the Chili Appreciation Society International contest. The pod held its 28th event Friday and Saturday near Colet Inn. Saturday's entries included 50 for chili, 11 for beans, 4 kids entries, 8 beef fajitas, 8 chicken fajitas and 5 for maragaritas.
