Carol Hoff, a noted Yorktown author, became a full-time librarian in September 1964. She presided over the Victoria Bronte Public Library. Housed at the time in what is now the Nave Museum, 306 W. Commercial St., the library later moved to its current location under a new name, Victoria Public Library.
