Cuero boys from Cuero won the game, fair and square and the folks in Yoakum are having a hard time accepting that fact. I wasn't at the game but according to the article, the Bulldogs gave the Gobblers all they could handle and as good teams do, the Gobblers found a way to win. Winners never give up. Instead of whining and crying, the good folks of Yoakum should take some lessons from the Gobbler faithful and their fans and show good sportsmanship. I admit I have had my problems with the Gobblers since they have our former coach from here in Victoria but after a while I realized the man must be doing something right. You don't win as many games as consistently as Coach Reeve does unless you know what you are doing. Also I made some inquiries about the blasting music and Cuero is not the only team to do this and Cuero has evidently done this for 10 years, why didn't you complain in the years past? Quit looking for excuses and realize your team took a top 5 team in the state down to the wire and scared the britches off the turkeys. Get ready for the Cowboys and make your own traditions.
