Texas Federation of Women's Clubs met recently to honor nominees from all of the districts in Texas for the Outstanding Club Women of the year. Marge Rode, of the Morning Study Club in Victoria, was named the Outstanding Club Woman of the Alamo District for 2008. Her accomplishments include serving as president the Morning Study Club and also as a member of numerous committees in the club. She was recognized for more than 50 years of volunteering at Citizens Medical Center and serving as president of the Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers. She is also a member of the First English Lutheran Church.
