Senior patrolman Zachary De La Rosa walks with his daughter, Sloan, 17 months, after they placed a wreath next to the freshly unveiled monument to Placido Benavides. De La Rosa is a seventh generation descendant of Don Martin De León, making his daughter an eighth generation descendant.
