Identical twins Jennifer Hicks-McGowan, left, and Vanessa Hicks-Callaway were both promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the Army at a ceremony last Thursday. Although the two grew up in Victoria, Hicks-McGowan now works at Jackson State University in Jackson, Miss. and Hicks-Callaway works at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
