The Archduke Charles rose shrub produces lovely blooms that span from lightest pink to red. The dramatic color change, starting nearly white, and then deepening through pink to red, likely made this variety a bouquet favorite with early settlers. The Texas tough rose is shown in the front of the Victoria County Courthouse.
