Travis Noack, right, does homework with his brother, Derek, in their home. Travis has high-functioning autism and Derek has Down syndrome. Both are mainstreamed in the Victoria school system, which means they attend regular classes and complete modified versions of the homework assignments. If Travis ever has a moment where he feels overwhelmed, he goes to a separate room where the special education teacher, Melissa Morton, can help him calm down or complete his work as needed.
