Desiree Young, a nurse practitioner, examines 16-year-old Timothy Ripple's ears after a swab revealed that he had both strands of the flu at Twin Fountains Walk-In Clinic. Young said Wednesday that of the 100 patients they usually see at the clinic a day, about 60 percent have been for flu-like symptoms during the past few weeks.
