Ted Hsiao talks with others at his table as his son, Lyon, 7 months, munches on an orange during the Chinese New Year celebration Saturday at Northside Baptist Church. Hsiao said that he is happy that the annual feast, which is at the church and given by the Victoria Chinese Christian Fellowship group, allows him to keep tradition alive. "It's wonderful," he said. "It's hard to be in the United States and celebrate the Chinese New Year." Along with a New Year's Eve potluck feast, children gave presentations in Chinese and traditional New Year's Eve goodie bags, and fun prizes were given out.
