Crown Hospice hosted it's 4th Annual Barn Dance for area senior citizens Thursday at the Jaycees Hall.

Joanna Countryman, program director for Crown Hospice, said that the event exceeded her expected turnout with almost 300 people in attendance.

A total of 10 facilities were sponsors of the event and bused in residents from as far away as Hallettsville, Cuero and Port Lavaca.

Jimmy Ennels dressed for the occasion in his country best during the Crown Hospice 4th Annual Barn Dance Thursday at the Victoria Jaycees Hall. Many of the residents of the various nursing homes that attended the event donned cowboy hats and neckerchiefs to match the country theme.
