Just be certain you read the original amendments as presented in the petition. The city council changed the wording and actually took the eight amendments that citizens signed a petition based upon and rewrote them into ten "propositions" including changing the order they are presented on the ballot. If approved the petition amendments wording will change the charter, not the wording the city council modified and placed on the ballot.
Why do you think the council increased the number from 8 to 10, changed the order and put language on the ballot that will not actually be in the charter, again if approved? The logical reason I can see is to confuse the issue and make it more difficult to understand the original intent of the petition.
