  • The cotton farmer that use to own that land back in the late 60's early 70's, use to fire his shotgun over our heads when we cut across his field. Even when it was nothing but bare dirt. That did make us get going lots faster LOL.

  • The city was given the opportunity to have the property for FREE and then begin to take in revenue on another parcel that is nothing but a LIABILITY and costing the taxpayers money to maintain.

    But that is not good enough for the hypocrisy of a government currently in place -- or at least for the decision-makers who are adamant about having their cake and eating it, too.

    To condemn the land to build a sidewalk would be outright THEFT, and there's no way the city of Victoria could sugarcoat such a greed-driven strategy.
