Well obviously by some of the responses some people don't even know what a "boy band" is. And some of the ones listed are not really "boys" anymore. The only band(and they are really a band they play their instruments) that I think was good as teenagers was the Australian band Silverchair. I was quite impressed with their first album which was made when they were teenagers. Of course they are adults now and I don't know if they really fit the bill as a "boy band". That is sort of a negative label in my book! Back Street boys are men now but still considered a "boy band" now that's just lame.
