Quick question: What does "benet" mean (as in "Vendors to sell food, drinks to benet nonprofits")?
July 2, 2009 at 11:28 a.m.Coal ash is known to have arsnic and mercury in the remains. I would agree to the new unit if they closed the old unit which is spewing chemicals into the air.
Also has anyone asked how they are handling the coal ash and is it the MOST protective manner for our community. I would not want the surrounding area of Victoria to end up on the new EPA dangerous sites. Also if the plant is selling the coal ash are they guaranteeing that there are no and I mean absolutely no arsenic or mercury in the ash as well as other deadly chemicals?
I ask this as I watched two children on tricycles ride up and down a coal ash drive way in the Victoria area. By selling the coal ash is the plant slowly polluting our water tables?
