  • Scorpio, do you know WHY the fire trucks are following the ambulances to the hospital? Because the fire trucks (with EMTs/Paramedics) are most often first on the scene with medical equipment and they may have to get some of their stuff back from the ambulance! Or maybe the EMT/Paramedic rode IN the ambulance to the hospital and they have to take him/her back to the fire station. They also have to write reports, like police officers do, on the incident, and they have to get information from the medical staff at the hospital, as well as from the victim or family member(s). They are not just following the ambulance to the hospital for lack of something better to do.

  • No because they are always paying for our officials attorney fees. That cost enough. Plus the firemen in this town mostly follow the ambulances to the hospitals and sit. Do not get me wrong they do fight the fires but its not like Victoria is Chicago or anything like that. I wonder how much that cost the tax payers to have the fire engine sitting at the hospitals as well.
