The last time I was in the park I was surprised at how it has fallen into disrepair in most areas except around the baseball stadium. Wooden posts rotted out or knocked over, areas washed out due to the river cresting, tree limbs hanging to the ground in many areas. I was also saddened by all the gang banging morons that were hanging out there. The parks used to be a nice, peaceful, safe place to take your family, but not anymore.

They need to add new thing to the park area for the kids and not just in one area, but all. They all need to be different maybe a Theme to them.

I have been visiting Riverside Park since before I was born--in my mother's womb. It is one of the nicest parks around--particularly for a city the size of Victoria. It is a definite asset that should be cherished and maintained.

Not on the weekends when it is to crowded though.
