David Stern wants a Kobe-LeBron matchup in the Finals..That’s an excellent point that I missed.
Houston vs. Dallas or Denver..Not good for ratings.
Yes, Yao or Artest, Brooks or maybe even Von Wafer need to score a lot because I don’t think the Rockets can keep the Lakers below 100 points every game.
I'm still picking the Lakers. Yao and Artest can't afford to have off games scoring. I get sick of the media making excuses for the Lakers. Kobe had a sore throat? Poor guy! The NBA won't let the Rockets win this series because David Stern wants a Kobe-LeBron matchup in the Finals. I'm just proud of the Rockets for showing their toughness in Game 1. They play more like an Eastern Conference team than the soft Western Conference teams.
Hello Vet I agree but you put me on the spot between my heart and brain…:-)
I am going to have to wait until Wednesday game so see how the Lakers adjust but if I had to guess it’s the Rockets in seven..I have not seen much of the Lakers, so I guess I am caught up in the hype.
Rockets in six?....You must have seen something about the Lakers that the media missed but that’s not unusual for old eagle-eye…lol.
It was supposed to be Lakers 4-0….36 seconds to go and the Rockets were up by 8 points ,yet the announcers said “We still have a game because of Kobe.”
This series has it all for me..Ron Artest is sporting a mohawk with a Rocket logo on the side....BTW Thank your Spurs once agin for Luis Scola.
The Rockets did a good job of keeping the Lakers from scoring in the paint down. I'd like to see Brooks and Lowery in at the same time, the Lakers are kind of slow. Since my guys are out, I'll say Rockets in 6. What do you think, Mike?
Defense is what helped Houston win last night…Kobe will get his but they did not allow the others to get theirs, nor did they allow Kobe to drive to the basket….The commentators said Kobe had a sore throat and fever but he still scored 32 points..
On offense Aaron Brooks and Kyle Lowery were too fast for Derrick Fisher.....Game 2.... I expect the Lakers to counter with Jordan Farmar.
It would be nice to have a super star scorer like T-Mac but I think this balanced Rocket team can prevail if they keep the turnovers down below 10.

I will be praying for the Rockets to win!

Go Rockets.
May 5, 2009 at 2:03 p.m.Lakers are soft. Rockets are not, thanks to McGrady now wearing street clothes during games.
