I couldn't agree more. In fact this sounds all too familiar. Scout, remember last year when a mis-informed husband and wife accused my wife of UIL violations that were never true and proven not true? Or when the AD solicited written complaints from the volleyball program parents against my wife. And this is the person that is going to lead the athletic programs next year?
Chris or Wes, in the spirit of "turnabout is fair play" how about the following suggestions for future "Poll This". Remember, you opened the door to this.
1. What is your opinion of Mickey Finley's seasons as Memorial's head Football coach?
2. Is Mickey Finley the best candidate for the Athletic Director position next school year?
October 30, 2009 at 5:44 a.m.Pate- You are right. But when you are a coach at a 5A level you are in the public opinion arena. The AD is as well or any other coach. The only one with an issue with it is the drill team people. Why, I dont know.
Ya'll, b1tch so your all star can play. Thats what happens. They are seaonal players playing battle tested girls who play rear round. I hope next year she takes just the top 10. Thats it.
October 29, 2009 at 8:09 a.m.Were I an editor of this paper, I'd not allow a question of this kind. A public evaluation offers too many opportunities for weirdos and obsessive parents to stir up dissent and discord. The school officials responsible for such evaluations should do them, and no one else. If they err, they should be held accountable through the school board.
