It's a great public library, but it is not managed well. It is overstaffed and the hours are not conducive to all citizens. The library closes early on Saturday and it's not open at all on Sundays. Staffing could be re-assigned to take in some of these hours.

Mr. Stewart needs to look closely at how the library is run. It is there for the citizens of Victoria, yet it is run like a retail business. This is a blue collar community and many shift workers do not have an opportunity to use the library because of the inconvenient hours.

What is great about libraries they have books that draw your attention and they have books that have lost favor with the general public. I have read some really great books. Many of the books, I would never have any considered if they were not a shelf and the title spoke to me.

My son and I enjoy going to the library very much. There is much more to do at the library, it's not just about books anymore. Ofcourse, books are a priority, but you can check out movies and cd's as well.

The results do not surprise me.
