February 2, 2010 at 11:10 p.m.I grew up with Victoria High School and Stroman High School playing, and more often than not beating my Sandcrabs every year. Funny but I remember that of the two schools we thought that Stroman was cool but Victoria High was our biggest rival, probably because they were so good I honestly don't remember us ever beating them.
I also remember how Victoria residents lined the streets in Victoria with signs wishing the Crabs luck in our first Bi-district game in the Alamodome...it was a huge boost for us coming from our old rivals, and I hope that now that we are rivals once again we will also remember that we are neighbors as well. I expect that both Victoria teams will be a force to be reckoned with once again.
Looking forward to September, and bring your A games because we aren't the same old team you remember from decades past. Good luck to all of these teams.

February 2, 2010 at 8:51 a.m.Since we don't know much about the new teams in East/West we have to go with either Calhoun or Gregory-Portland. CHS won by a point last season before dropping a stunner to Beeville and ended up sharing it with GP.
There are 5 non district games so we should know more about where teams stand after 5 games!
