March 14, 2010 at 5:41 p.m.Only thing, it wasn't much fun getting awakened by a policeman after about 4 hours sleep:(
March 14, 2010 at 5:02 p.m.lol, ok, well it wasn't 5 star but we had the surf for music and the stars for a roof.
March 14, 2010 at 4:57 p.m.Legion.....how romantic!
March 14, 2010 at 4:51 p.m.I would love to take my daughter fishing, however, since I don't know much about this area I have no idea where to even start! :) Wonderful weather though!!!
March 14, 2010 at 4:49 p.m.A lady friend and I made a midnight run to Port A. We slept in the bed of the truck, about 7am we were awoken by knocking on the truck. It was a city of Port A. policeman, he said we needed a parking permit, I said we arrived about 1:30 am, he said ok, you can go get one now or I can write you a $25 ticket. I said we are on the way to get one, thanks.
March 14, 2010 at 4:14 p.m.It has doubled in price since the last time I got one, which wasn't that long ago! National Seashore in Corpus charges to access the area....$20 for a years pass.
March 14, 2010 at 3:59 p.m.Parking permit fee for the Port Aransas beach control by the city of Port Aransas. You can drive further down to where it is the county beach and not pay anything.
March 14, 2010 at 3:47 p.m.In the Spring Break story are some suggestions, one of which is the Port Aransas Beach. I'm confused about the cost. Since when has the Port Aransas Beach charged a $12.00 permit fee? I've been there many times and never saw a sign that I had to have a permit to use the beach. I've never heard of any Gulf beach in Texas requiring a permit for using the beach or charging for the use of the beach. I've always thought that the beaches in Texas were for the use of and indeed BELONGED TO the citizens. Can someone enlighten me about the $12.00 permit? That seems a might steep to use the beach and take a dip in the Gulf.
March 14, 2010 at 3:28 p.m.LOL Rebecca I wish...I took out dead bushes & cactus. I am now looking at replanting my yard as one whole side of the front is now bare. Anyone with cat friendly yard ideas? (killing them is not friendly, nor an idea)
March 14, 2010 at 10:58 a.m.Hey, VBB, do you have any yard trimmings that I can stick in my back yard? I have some blank spots that need filling. Like, hibiscus? (Even though they seem dead if you stick them in the ground they root!)
March 14, 2010 at 10:40 a.m.The weather is beautiful...got lots of yard work done!!!! Wish the sun was shining inside!
