Some things need to be regulated such as pets. My subdivision has an ordinance where you can own no more than two pets per kind. Most city blocks do not have the room to store as many pets as the case in this story. The last two house I've owned over a period of 12 years, I had problems with neighbors dogs digging under a fence or jumping over. Both neighbors thoughts were; they're animals and will do things like this even destroying property. The city law states you must file a formal complaint in municipal court against your neighbor which has to go before a judge and then then if the judge decides the pet is a nuisance the city can take possession of the animal. The unfortunate thing is most people do not respect you are your property especially when it comes to their pets and children. I voted yes to regulate the number of pets you can own. Maybe the people will get the message about pets and it want to go as far as regulating the number of kids you can have.
No, we have enough laws and regulations, now!!!! We need enforcement of existing ordinances to control the situation, not another one that will not be enforced!!
If you insist on having dogs or cats then KEEP them in your yard where they can poop to their hearts content and you can step in the stinky smelly crap. Also if they bark , which they all do, they and you are disturbing your neighbors peace.

"Should the city limit the number of cars you can have? Or children? Or should the city limit your salary? If you voted yes, take a step back and reevaluate your life. " Really? You think that is a good statement? That is ridiculous! You two are probably some of the irresponsible ones that need regulating!
Who is, "The City" ? Is it the people of, or the controlling, agenda focused politicians? Are the rules and regulations decided by the peolpe, for the people?
Own a pet? Pet destroys property of anyone besides owner? Pet owner IS responsible. No different than have liability insurance for your own vehicle. SIMPLE AS THAT.

The city shouldn't have to limit the amount of pets we own. People should just have a little common sense and respect for neighbors. If you own them then be responsible for them.
If it barks, bites. destroys property, or poops in your neighbors yard then you need to be responsible for it.
