Stage fright is not a good thing in a presidential candidate. I laughed along with most everyone else at his brain fart, but I have to say that I agree with the closing of those particular departments -- especially the Department of Education. Send control of schools back home where it belongs. Parents and local schools are better suited to ensure little Johnny can read and write than a bunch of bureaucrats in Washington talking bureaucrap.
It's strange how one little slip like this can ruin a candidacy. I'm not a fan of his anyway; I would vote for Cain in the primary, but even though it shouldn't kill his chances, I believe it will. Maybe he needs a tele-prompter? Perhaps BO has a spare he can lend Perry for the balance of the campaign.

Rick Perry’s run for president will ensure that the next Governor and Lt Governor will be Democrats.
November 11, 2011 at 6:55 p.m.It will hurt him, IMHO, but I don't think he was going to make it to the top anyway. I think that he'll keep going because he's got the cashola.

November 11, 2011 at 10:10 a.m.He's better suited to be a vp than a president. He's right up there with Biden and Quayle.
November 11, 2011 at 9:51 a.m.Please keep him in Texas!
