Jennifer Lee Preyss is an award-winning reporter and columnist, native Atlantan, and proud Southerner -- just don't tell her Yankee father. For the past five years Jennifer has worked as both an environment and political reporter for newspapers in Georgia and North Carolina, and as a freelance journalist in the Southeast.
Jennifer covers religion and general assignments for the Victoria Advocate, and ranges in Jackson County.
Her weekly religion feature stories, and "Revelations" column, runs in Saturday's Faith section.
Jennifer, who has covered faith and religion for the Advocate during the past two years, was awarded the 2012 Louis Cassels Religion Reporter of the Year by the Religion Newswriters Association.
In addition to writing, Jennifer enjoys culinary experimentation, designing jewelry, writing music, and taking her min-pin, Sadie, on long walks. She invites you to contact her with story ideas, or provide helpful hints about navigating south Texas.
