Story by Darin KazmirSubmitted by Darink

The Victoria College Pirates women’s volleyball team will play Coastal Bend College of Beeville on Tuesday, October 6 at 6 p.m. in the VC Sports Center Gym.

The Coastal Bend team is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and the majority of the team’s members have been recruited on full scholarship from outside the CBC ’s service region, whereas the Pirates team is comprised of athletes recruited from local high schools.

“The Pirates recently lost a very close game to CBC,” said VC Coach Joshua Moore, “but I believe we can beat them at home next Tuesday. I think it will be a really good game.”

The VC Pirates women’s volleyball team competes in the South Texas Club Sports League. The public is welcome to watch the team's home games at the VC Sports Center free of charge.
