First Pentecostal Church of Edna to host 15th annual Fun Day
Story by Darin Kazmir • Submitted by DarinkThe First Pentecostal Church of Edna will host its 15th annual Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 17. Proceeds will benefit Edna Christian Academy, the only K-12 Christian school in Jackson County.
Children and the young-at-heart can participate in a variety of fun games and activities, including kiddie train rides, horse rides, a petting zoo, a duck pond and hourly cakewalks. Inflatable activities will include an obstacle course, a fun derby and an inflatable slide and playground.
Admission to the event is free and visitors can purchase tickets for the day’s activities. A $20 wristband will be sold for unlimited access to all activities, with the exception of the cakewalks, games and concessions. A discount will be offered to families with several children.
The Fun Day auction will begin at 11 a.m. A variety of items will be auctioned off, including pottery, children’s toys, furniture, antiques and collectibles. This year’s event will also feature Nona’s Country Store, offering homemade baked and canned goods for sale.
