Nurses are in high demand and play a vital role in our healthcare system. Providing patient care for the sick is only one element of nursing. Nurses today also help promote health, prevent disease, help patients and their families cope with illness, emergencies and long-term disease and work to make healthier communities. Nurses have the opportunity to make a difference in the world on a daily basis.
