There is so much truth to the familiar saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words". A picture captures the moment and can stimulate all of your senses - especially photos of tantalizing food and beverage. Food also tells a story. For thousands of years, we have broken bread together all over the world. Thousands of years of sharing and stories.... When my husband and I travel, together or separately, we take photos to share our journey, whether domestic or international - business or pleasure. This always includes our meals. We take photos of our plates because our dining is often a large part of the travel experience. Food, fellowship, and taking time to savor the culture... Attached is a photo of cava (sparkling wine) and a salmon tapa. The Spanish have mastered the perfect meal - an assortment of tapas. Each tapa is a work of art and is just a few bites. This leaves room for exploring many different types of flavors and textures. This was the final afternoon of our Barcelona trip. My husband and I spent a few hours apart - I shopped on Avinguda Gaudífor for some fabulous European clothing (their fashion and style is amazing) while he strolled the beach and put his feet in the Med. On my way back to the hotel, I stopped at a quaint cafe to enjoy my two favorite treats in life, cava and a tapa. Does it get any better than this?
