For the "greatest man I ever knew," this is for you Daddy. My dad, Jose G. Garcia, was the greatest man I have ever known. Although he was not my biological father, he came into my life when I was a mere 4 years old. I am now 36. Daddy had no biological children. Fortunately, it was with me that he was able to experience the everyday challenges of raising a child. He provided all the necessities and essentials of growing up, but most of all he gave me his unconditional love and a special bond where nothing could come between us. Daddy was there for my first communion, my quinceanera, confirmation, graduation, and proudly walked me down the aisle to my other love. I was fortunate to see how huge Daddy's heart was when the same love and affection that I had known for so many years poured out to my two children, Juan and Alexandria. They adored their "Papa Joe." I lost a piece of my heart and every daughter's first love on February 23 of this year when you passed away, and I did not get a chance to say "thank you for being the Daddy you didn't have to be. You showed me that anyone can be a father, but it takes someone very special to step up to the plate and be a daddy. We love and miss you so very much." Always yours, Stephanie Marroquin, Victoria
