This picture was taken on 4-18-2008 in southern Victoria County near the Goliad county line. I've lived here my entire life and have never seen this little bird before. He scampered around my yard and then amazingly landed on this stick in my flower bed. I thought it was someone's pet bird. I was able to identify him on the internet as a Painted Bunting.
