It still amazes me that so many of us do not understand the real purpose we were created for. For most it seems it is all about ourselves, our likes, dislikes and needs. Me, Me, Me.... Is there any wonder why our society in this country continues to swerl down the porclein throne.

Nice article Gary and VA. Keep um coming. My first walk in alone movie was at the El Rancho for 9 cents.
Point well made. My concern is that there is a mentality among a number of adults and children that they don't want anything to do with the Golden Rule. I think they are perfectly satisfied in making life miserable for others because their life is empty and miserable. Some of us know if you don't have the Spirit you will be miserable. And how do you receive the Spirit? Next article Jennifer.
ZaPa... Well stated. I can't imagine Pastor Jim coming to that conclusion.
BSspotter ... A home in my neighborhood was appraised on the Victoria CAD at $121,000 and within a month sold near the asking price of $188,000. It will be interesting to see what the appraised value will be for 2013.
This sounds like a worthwhile program to help these youngsters get started in our education system. As we should all understand, the real challenge is to keep these kids engaged in education through high school, which is the biggest challenge there is for any child. As many have suggested, when they get to middle school and they are not willing to participate and become a nuisance, remove them for the sake of the teachers and the students who do care about learning.
Vet43... It feels good to say I agreed totally.
vet.... He won't go to hell for murdering his family, but the thought of him spending the rest of his life behind bars are even better, to know he may be given that lethal injection is justice. The children are for sure present with the Lord, which should be a comforting thought for their family.
Yes sir. I agree with basically everything you have stated. But I believe the one problem that has infected our schools and schools all over this nation is the parent(s) of the children. There are also other factors that disrupt our schools, but in the past thirty to forty years our family values has cratered to a sick and perverse culture. The best proof for my argument is the students in private schools in this city are held to a different code of discipline and the teachers have a lot more opportunity to teach kids when there are two parents at home that are supporting the teachers and the children.
If this relieves some of the traffic from North Navarro and saves the people on the south and east side of Victoria some time and fuel, it will be good. I would also hope the competition would help on our grocery bills.
