Not as difficult as you might think. Find a bicycle that fits you. Take a few rides through the neighborhood or on rural roads with little traffic. Try to go a little further on each succeeding ride. Now sign up for an organized bike ride, selecting the route you feel comfortable riding. Pace yourself - don't try to keep up with everyone else. Have fun! Eric
The photo in question has been removed. Obviously, it went with the A1 rail story on North Korea's Kim Jong Il. Eric
I've used Family Tree Maker software for many years and am very happy with it. You just plug in your family information such as names, birthdates, marriage dates, death dates, locations, etc., and the software will arrange the tree in various formats for you. You can also include photos, audio and video recordings and even write stories about family members. Eric

I feel like in joining Aprill, I'm giving into the most cliched instincts newspapers reporters have, which Sergei Dovlatov best outlined in"The Compromise" (an excellent, if jaded book about reporters in the Soviet Union.) To paraphrase: every journalist wants to write a novel. True? Nah, with my short attention span, I'm better suited to write short stories and one-act plays. So here's my strategy: If, come Nov. 25, I'm short on pages, I will let the kitten walk around on the keyboard to her heart's content to inflate my word count. She's no monkey, but she's the only secret weapon I've got.
You're a trend setter. No other explanation.
I wonder: 20 or 30 years from now, after these "trolls" have grown up, will they be proud of what they have done? Eric
